“Pregnadel” package design by Sergii Llin. “This is a concept for drugs packaging. Drugs are used to induce the medical abortion. The goal was to develop packaging that will be noticeable on the pharmacy shelf, self-illustrative, and have a bit of social message, kind of ‘Think before you do’. The pill design is used to corroborate the social aspect of the packaging, and have some kind of fun, just for fun” - Sergii Llin
Brilliant!
Anti-Pop Consortium poster designed by AMOSE. For their upcoming show in Colmar, France tomorrow. Beautiful!
“Papercraft Self Portrait” by Eric Testroete. Wow… This is too cool! Imagine a party where everyone brought one of themselves… Then swapped them?
“Yes / No” t-shirts by Ugmonk. Wake up, pick a mood and off you go. T-shirts to define your mood through out the day …or not! (They could’ve added a ‘Maybe’ in grey…)
“Unbox the Box” Audi commercial by 1st Ave Machine and Passion Pictures. A fantastic little stop-frame paper-craft animation.
Inspired “Mooi Besoedeling” album design by Zinkplaat, an Afrikaans pop-rock-blues-fusion band from South Africa
“Bone Chair” (2008) cast in aluminum by Joris Laarman
“Laarman relied on software originally inspired by the biology of human bones, whose regenerative capacity allows them to add and subtract matter as needed. The result is a delicately sculptural object that contains no superfluous or decorative matter yet is gorgeous enough to make people marvel” - paraphrased from an article in W Magazine
“Ora” interwoven tape watch by Alexandros Stasinopoulos. “Three interwoven tapes, yes the measuring kind, move across the face to indicate the hour, minute and day” Sweet!
Trying to generating alternative revenue streams, Musica (a music store ala Tower Records, Virgin, etc.) proposes to sell generic products such as lip balm with the “in-your-face, anti-establishment rebelliousness of Rock music”
“As music retailers face increasing pressure to find alternative revenue streams beyond the sales of CDs and DVDs, the opportunities have to lie in lifestyle products. Inside of everyone of us is an alter-ego who secretly wants to be a rock star, pop icon or jazz supremo. This was identified by The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) with our latest range of work executed for client ”
“Energy Aware Clock” by Loove Broms, Karin Ehrnberger, Sara Ilstedt Hjelm, Erika Lundell and Jin Moen. Designed to make you aware of your daily energy consumption. Aesthetically, I’d like it to be a little thinner, but a nice idea…
Clutch Chair made from 10,000 drinking straws by Scott Jarvie
